Meeting of the Consultors of the Dicastery for the Clergy: A Time of Understanding, Dialogue, and Exchange

Cardinal Prefect, His Eminence Lazzaro You Heung sik, has extended an invitation to the Consultors of the Dicastery to take part in a meeting focused on mutual understanding, dialogue, and exchange regarding the service and challenges the Dicastery is currently called to face in serving the universal Church.

The meeting will take place on November 10, 11, and 12, 2025, at the Dicastery’s headquarters. It will be a valuable opportunity to gather together, get to know one another better, share pastoral experiences, and reflect jointly on the journey of priests, deacons, and seminarians in today's world. For those unable to attend in person, remote participation will also be made available.

This gathering also follows the recent appointment, by the Holy Father Leo XIV, on August 28, of a new group of Consultors who will join the existing ones: priests, religious, and laypeople from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise, called to offer their experience to enrich the work and mission of the Dicastery.

The Cardinal Prefect expressed a special word of welcome and gratitude to the new Consultors, emphasizing that their presence will help strengthen discernment and reflection on the best ways to support ordained ministers and accompany young people on their vocational journey.

“We hope that this meeting,” stated Cardinal You, “will be a moment of communion and fraternal exchange, capable of renewing in all of us the zeal to serve priests and deacons in their ministry, and to support seminarians in their path of growth and formation.”

The Dicastery wishes to thank the Consultors who, in a spirit of communion and availability, will participate in the meeting, confident that this occasion will bear good fruit for the life of the Church and for the service of the holy People of God.
