Fr. Hans Zollner, a German Jesuit, has been the founder and Director of the Institute of Anthropology. Interdisciplinary Studies on Human Dignity and Care of the Pontifical Gregorian University (PUG) since 2012. He was the Academic Vice Rector of the PUG and Director of its Institute of Psychology from 2010-2019. He was a founding member of the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors, serving from 2014-2023, and is a consultor of the Congregation for Clergy as well as a member of the Safeguarding Commission of the Diocese of Rome. Experience with victim-survivors, academics, and professionals has shaped his approach to educating the next generation of leaders in the field of safeguarding. Fr. Zollner has a doctoral degree in theology, is a psychologist and licensed psychotherapist.
